- ******PLEASE CONTACT RICHARD GLOVER/CONTRACT SPECIALIST ONLY FOR ALL TECHNICALQUESTIONS. RICHARD GLOVER'S CONTACT INFORMATION IS IN THE BODY OF THIS ANNOUCEMENT.******NASA/MSFC has a requirement for the purchase of repair and spare parts for two Hammelmannhigh pressure pumps Types HDP 452 and HDP 334.NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the items from Hammelmann Corporation pursuant to FAR13.106-1(b)(1), for the acquisition of supplies or services determined to be reasonablyavailable from only one source. The pumps were manufactured by Hammelmann Corporationand only their repair and spare part components will be fully compatible with the pumpsat MSFC. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 3:30 p.m. local timeon May 6, 2010. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications and/or Telephone questions are not acceptable in response to thisnotice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
