- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order to Microfluidics Corporation, 30 Ossipee Road, Newton, MA 02464, for the following line items: 1) Benchtop Microfluidizer, M-110P-20, processor laboratory machine for continuous high shear fluid processing. It is a 'plug and play' machine operating on a standard 110V/60Hz/20amp, 230V/60Hz/10amp or 220V/50Hz/12amp single phaze power outlet; 2) Start-up and operator training for one (1) day (8 hours) start-up and training by authorized personnel purchased on a per day basis for minimum of one day, plus direct reimbursement for travel and living expenses. Additional time billed in hourly increments. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR A COMMERCIAL ITEM PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE SOLICITATION; A SEPARATE WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Only one responsible source and no other sources will satisfy the Agency's requirements because this is the only product that can meet the requirements for space, throughput and existing lab-specific platforms/equipment. No solicitation is being issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals, however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which, if received by the response date, shall be considered by the Agency. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within discretion of the Government.
