- Description
- The National Park Service has a requirement for editing services for National Park Service geologic reports. The contractor shall provide service as a copy editor and proofreader. The contractor is required to be familiar with the discipline of geology and capable of editing technical writing for lapses of continuity or argument, and for significant factual errors related to NPS resources, history, or policy. The contractor must utilize the electronic reviewing capabilities of the Track Changes function in Microsoft Word software and work witin the NPS Geologic Resource Inventory report template using the style guidelines of the NPS and the Natural Resource Program Center. Edited documents shall be completed within three weeks of receipt. No more than five reports will be given to the contractor for editing at any one time. The requirement will be issued with a base period of twelve calendar months with an option period for twelve additional months. It is estimated that up to 30 reports will be edited in a twelve month period. The commercial item request for quotation will be available o/a May 6, 2010 with a closing date of May 21, 2010. This requirement is a total small business set aside in NAICS code 561410, Document Preparation Services. The size standard for this code is $7.0 million.
