- Description
- The Strategic Systems Programs intends to contract with Interstate Electronics Corporation (IEC), 602 East Vermont Avenue, P.O. Box 3117, Anaheim, CA 92803-3117 to provide Technical Engineering Services, Logistics Services, Field Support Services and as a Lead Systems Integrator to install operate and maintain Flight Test Instrumentation subsystems, spares, and related support equipments in support of existing U.S. TRIDENT weapons system, and the U.K. TRIDENT weapon systems. This includes identification of problems and corrective action necessary to maintain system readiness. Award will be made using other than full and open competition to IEC, the only known source having the FBM and SWS background and resource pool of technical and management personnel with (1) complete familiarity and skill in installation, operation, maintenance and modification of TRIDENT Flight Test Instrumentation Systems and support equipment (2) knowledge and skill to coordinate and communicate with all Government agencies involved with the C-4, and D-5 test program associate with the shipyards, Eastern Space and Missile Center (3) complete familiarity and technical experience with support services, Trident Refit Support sites, Naval Ordnance Test Unit, Naval Inventory Control Point, and UK Strategic weapon Services (SWSB) and, (4) complete understanding and experience with the installation, operation, maintenance, and modification of SSBN instrumentation undergoing overhaul, Flight Test Support System, and Instrumentation Ships equipments throughout the Eastern and Pacific Test Ranges.
