- THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) ACTION. North Phoenix Abandoned Mine Safety Mitigation/Closures.THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. This opportunity is available only to contractors under firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts established by the US Forest Service. Multiple awards of IDIQ contracts were made under a single competitive solicitation for the same or similar supplies or services to two or more sources. The project is for the remediation of physical safety hazards associated with abandoned mine features. These abandoned mine features are located within the Mesa and Globe Ranger Districts of the Tonto National Forest, Southwestern Region, North and East of the Phoenix Metro area in the state of Arizona. Request for Quotations will be issued to three existing IDIQ contractors. A firm fixed price task order will be awarded to the IDIQ contractor which provided the best value to the Government based on the following: •Past performance on earlier orders under the contract, including quality and timeliness. •Potential impact on other orders placed with the Contractor and deliverable schedule requirements. •Minimum order requirements. •Price
