- Technical Data Package-Engineering Notes and Engineering Data List Estimated issue date May 3, 2010 and estimated closing/response date June 3, 2010 PR#: FD2030-10-71271 RFP#: SPRTA1-10-Q-0400 Nomenclature/Noun: Power Supply used on KC-135 Aircraft, Part Number 5000439 (Cage 24930), NSN 6130-00-678-99897HY or Interchangeable Part Number 6RS992F4 (Cage 24446), NSN 6130-00-679-3555HY. AMC: 1C History: No History Available. L/I 0001 -Maximum BEQ of 41 (Basic Year with 2 One-Year Options). Mandatory Language: Note: Item Description: Length 9.0000 (IN), Height 7.3800 (IN), Width 4.9300 (IN), Weight 5.2500 (LB). Item Function: Static conversion unit consisting of transformer and selenium rectifier; Material: Aluminum alloy with electronic components. This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified sources require acquisition of the part from the approved sources. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activities procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. Currently, ITT Corporation (Cage 24930) is the only known source for part number 5000439 and General Electric (Cage 24446) for part number 6RS992F4 that can satisfy the Government requirements. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firms(s) listed: ITT Corporation (Cage 24930) or General Electric (Cage 24446). An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government Personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposal or in the source selection process.
