- MARAD intents on entering into negotiations with Appleton for the purchase of a custom boom cylinder (Appleton luft cylinder part: YMD-7178) that's for the hydraulic Appleton marine crane part no. EB190-80-40, on May 10, 2010. Firms interested in offering on this requirement; a rebuilt cylinder is acceptable, however, this must be a complete cylinder which would be a backup to the existing cylinder that is in use; must offer a 2 year warranty, (due to the delay of installation, for this cylinder may be in MARAD storage beyond a year.) NO SOLICITATION WILL BE POSTED, please send in offer along with evidence of past performance and Appleton cert. if it is customary within this specific market. to kathryn.rato@dot.gov.
