Description
The Government anticipates a Draft Statement of Work, Topics of Interest, and estimated milestone schedule for the anticipated D3I acquisition will be available via the Business Opportunities section of the US Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command (SMDC/ARSTRAT) public website on or about 28 April 2010. The website can be accessed at http://www.army.mil/info/organization/unitsandcommands/commandstructure/smdc/. Description of the Effort: USASMDC/ARSTRAT requires a contractual vehicle that will fulfill a gap in ability to design, develop, demonstrate and integrate products focused on the force development of space, missile defense and high altitude capabilities that enable the Army Warfighter to effectively support USSTRATCOM, other Combatant Commanders (COCOMs) and Department of Defense (DoD) agencies in the mission areas of Strategic Deterrence, Global Strike, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), Cyberspace, and Information Operations and other requirements. The USASMDC/ARSTRAT D3I Program goals and objectives are to acquire the capability to formulate concepts and to design, develop, produce, modify, test, deliver and sustain space, cyber and, missile defense technological advancements in the form of architectures and systems to support DoD, Department of Army (DA), USASMDC/ARSTRAT, USSTRATCOM and our allies and other customer efforts supporting technology development within the USASMDC/ ARSTRAT mission areas. The D3I Program will provide USASMDC/ARSTRAT and its customers with the ability to procure a broad range of missile defense, space and other applicable warfighter solutions in support of developmental and operational requirements. The overarching program requirements provide D3I solutions that include, but are not limited to, design, development, demonstration and integration of future capability gap architectures, technologies, test and evaluation, assessments, integration and operations capabilities.
