- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, NC, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Tecniplast USA, Exton, PA 19341, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This purchase is for the following items:1)- (60 cases) Polysulfone Topflow EB Cage Tops. These items are for the animal facility group and are designed and constructed specifically to fit the Tecniplast cage bottoms that are currently used in the facility. These tops, together with the current Tecniplast bottoms create a sealed micro environment when fitted to the Tecniplast ventilated system. These top ports are made specifically to attach and seal properly to the Tecniplast ventilated cage racks used in the animal room.. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability. Respond to this requirement by submitting written capabilities/specifications to the Purchasing Agent at the address stated above. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within 7 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 7 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Allentown Inc. NAICS Code/Size is 339999/500. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $100,000.
