Description
The US Army Contracting Command, Joint Munitions and Lethality Contracting Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the U.S Army Armament Research Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC), is seeking potential sources that have the capability to provide 5ea digital high speed camera systems that will be used to evaluate the various munitions, ballistic and warhead testing performed by the Armaments Experimentation and Evaluation Division. Three cameras will record in color and two will record in monochrome. Each camera must record at a framing rate of 1,400,000 frames per second (fps) at a minimum resolution of 128 X 8 pixels and at 7500 fps at a maximum resolution of 1280 X 800 pixels. The minimum exposure time (shutter speed) must be 300 nanoseconds (ns). Each camera must have a minimum internal high speed dynamic RAM of 16 Gigabits with the option to record directly to a non-volatile, hot swappable, memory magazine. The cameras must be capable to use autofocus lenses. The 5 cameras must have the ability to be controlled remotely from a computer or camera controller at a minimum distance of 100 meters and from a wired handheld remote control unit with a picture viewing display. All cameras must be able to synchronize with each other via an internal clock, an external clock or IRIG-B timing. The cameras must be able to trigger via software and hardware at TTL levels. The software trigger must have the ability to trigger all cameras at once or each individual camera at the will of the user. The software associated with the cameras must have the ability to give the user full control of the cameras as well as allow the user to perform measurements including linear, angular, displacement, velocity, image rotation and point collection.Firms/companies are invited to indicate their capabilities by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, demonstration video and other technical data, the information provided will not be returned.
