THIS IS A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Acquisitions is seeking qualified contractors responsible for providing the following: •REQUIREMENT Digital Monochrome Camera, - charge multiplication gain capability - liquid cooled - 10 MHz - quantity of 1 - 512 x 512 imaging array - back-illuminated EMCCD - quantum Efficiency (90% peak QE) -16 x 16 um pixel - EM gain - high sensitivity - low noise - optimized view field The National Institutes on Deafness and other Communication Disorders, (NIDCD) is requesting competitive price quotes in the form of capability states for the above described requirement. •PURPOSE The Evolve Photometrics digital monochrome camera will be used for on going studies on the molecular basis for stereocilia length regulation. CRITICAL FEATURES * Cooled to 100 degree C and doesn’t use a cooling fan which avoids vibration. * Electrons per grain level selector allowing for selection of the number of electrons that will cause a single gray level increase in the image data permitting quant view while maintaining full dynamic range of EMCCD. * 3 minute EM calibration process. * Filtering tool to narrow visualization to the intensity range of the image features. * Selectable bit depth (8-16 bits) to improve image quality by matching digitization bit depth to actual intrascene dynamic range. DATE REQUIRED: April 30, 2010. Contractors interested in satisfying this requirement shall send offers not more than 3 pages in length to the Initial Point of Contact Keith Savage.
