Description
The U.S. Army, Army Contracting Command (ACC) Joint Munitions & Lethality (JM&L) Contracting Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000 is conducting a Market Research/Sources Sought Notice to locate firms capable of providing off-the shelf vibration and shock damping material sheets and custom designed molded damping pads for prototype and production use. To maintain demanding R&D program schedules and production deliveries, qualified vendors must be readily available for material and service acquisition. The contractor shall provide material and all process certification of conformance for each order. The contractor shall be in conformance with ISO 9001:2000 International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Capabilities Statement: The US Army Armament Research and Development Command (ARDEC) Benet Laboratories, located at the Watervliet Arsenal, Watervliet, NY is seeking capabilities statements from firms that can provide damped isolation sheet material, both plain and with pressure-sensitive adhesive backings, from.0625 to 1in thickness, that has low compression set values 1500 psi), relatively high hardness (> 60 Shore A Durometer)and low glass transition temperature <0 degF. The capabilities to provide custom molded shapes to fairly tight tolerances (<.005in) is also required. This synopsis is open to all business concerns, however, in accordance with FAR 19.501 our intent is to establish BPAs with Small Businesses. The period of performance for these BPAs will be five (5) years from date of award. In the event there arent enough responses from responsible, capable Small Businesses, then Large Business responses will be accepted. This is a Sources Sought/Market Survey Announcement and submissions will be used for informational and planning purposes only. This notice does not constitute a formal Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ), nor is the Government obligated to issue a formal RFP/RFQ. In addition, the Government does not intend to reimburse or pay for any information provided under this notice. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. All interested and potential firms must be registered in CCR, and current firms must update once a year to maintain active status. Please visit the CCR website to register and update at: https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/default.aspx whether applying for assistance with awards, contracts, or other business opportunities, all entities are considered registrants. However, registration in no way guarantees that a contract or assistance award will be issued. The following information is required to register in CCR: DUNS Number; Tax Identification Number (TIN) and Taxpayers Name; Statistical Information about your business; and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Information. Once your business is registered in CCR, you also need to be registered in ORCA: https://orca.bpn.gov/ located on the left side of CCR web page there is a link to ORCA where you can register. All interested companies are invited to provide their capabilities and qualifications regarding the above stated requirement via email (10MB limit) to the email point of contact listed below; information provided will not be returned. Responses shall indicate the size of the business entity (large or small); a copy of the most recent ORCA Certifications. Please provide the name and address of your company, a point of contact (POC), phone and fax number where they can be reached and an email address. TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
