- THIS IS A TOTAL 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) SET-ASIDE. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Iowa intends to issue an Invitation For Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract to provide all tools, materials, equipment and labor necessary for completion of general construction project 636A6-CSI-102, 'Digital OR Boom/Light Site Prep' at the Des Moines VA Medical Center, Des Moines, Iowa, in accordance with the drawings and specifications. Contractor shall completely prepare site for installation of digital OR booms, including but not limited to furnishing all labor, materials and supervision to complete the work as stated in the plans and specifications. Work will include but is not limited to general modifications to interior walls, ceilings, new and modified doors and frames, new finishes in areas of new work, related plumbing replacement/upgrades, mechanical, electrical work, and telephone and data lines. The project also includes new fire sprinkler branch lines and reconfiguration of existing fire protection lines to conform to the latest codes. Work is to be performed in two phases and is to be completed within 360 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. Specifications and Drawings for submitting a bid will be available at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All respondents must be registered in the CCR database (http://www.ccr.gov) and complete online Representations and Certifications at (http://orca.bpn.gov), along with Vets 100 at (http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/) prior to award. Bidders must also be registered in VetBiz at (http://www.vetbiz.gov/). Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All parties must obtain amendments to the solicitation through this web site. Hard copies will not be mailed. Interested parties must go to the web site to be entered on the Interested Vendors List and/or to obtain copies of the Interested Vendors List. All questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email to (cynthia.tabor@va.gov). Issue Date is tentatively scheduled for May 17, 2010. The Pre-bid meeting/Site-visit will be announced upon Solicitation issuance. Bid Opening Date is tentatively scheduled for June 21, 2010, at 11:00 A.M. (CST), in Bldg. #2, Room #214 at the Des Moines, VAMC, Des Moines, IA, but exact date may vary depending on issuance of the solicitation. The applicable NAICS Code is 236220, with the applicable size standard being $33.5 million. Cost range is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
