- THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. The resulting contract will utilize funds provided by the AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) OF 2009. Interested parties are notified that the inclusion of unique provisions required in implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency, will be required of the successful bid. The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a Invitation for Bid numbered AG-82B1-S-10-0280 on or about April 29, 2010, for the RECOVERY Renovate Historic Cabins, Pike San Isabel National Forest. If the Invitation for Bid is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective vendors should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after April 29, 2010 to obtain a copy of the Invitation for Bid. This requirement is being solicited as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) under FAR Part 14. Bids or offers are due per the solicitation package. A single firm-fixed price type contract will be awarded to the responsible Bidder (IAW FAR Part 9, Contractor Qualifications) whose bid is of the lowest price. PROJECT DESCRIPTION. Crescent Mining Camp, Hutchinson-Barnett, and Woods Historic Cabin Renovation. Work involves custom re-roofing, wall log replacement, wood stove installation, toilet building, construction, log siding refurbishing & re-chinking, and miscellaneous rough and finish carpentry work at the Crescent Mining Camp cabins on the Leadville Ranger District and on the Hutchinson-Barnett and Woods cabins on the Salida Ranger District. The magnitude of this project IAW FAR 36.204 (c) is between $100,000 and $250,000. There will be a pre-bid meeting Date: May 18, 2010, 10:00 AM Location: Intersection of Forest Service Road No. 390 and US Hwy 24. Projected start date is June 15, 2010. Performance and Payments will be required per the Miller Act and Davis-Bacon wage rates will apply. PROJECT LOCATIONS. Crescent Mining Camp: from Buena Vista, Colorado, travel north on U.S. Highway 24 approximately 15 miles to Lake County Road 390. Travel west on CR 390 approximately 10 miles Rockdale, at the junction of National Forest System Road (NFSR) 381. Hutchinson-Barnett Cabin: from Poncha Springs, Colorado, travel south on U.S. Hwy 285 for 5 miles; turn right on Chaffee County Road 200 and travel for 3 miles to NFSR 202; turn right and travel for 0.8 miles to NFSR 200; turn right and travel for 8 miles to NFSR 200.C; turn right and travel for 0.2 miles. Woods Cabin: from Poncha Springs, S. on Hwy 285 for 5 miles; Rt on NFSR 200 for 3 miles; Rt on NFSR 202 for 0.8 miles; Rt on NFSR 200 for 1.5 miles; Rt on NFSR 204 for 1.0 mile to project location.
