- SOLICITATION No VA-243-10-IB-0305 CORRIDOR CEILING PROJECT No. 620-08-113 VA HUDSON VALLEY HEALTH CARE SYSTEM MONTROSE CAMPUS BRIEF DISCRIPTION OF WORK to include but not limited to: ITEM I: Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, supervision and personnel in order to accomplish the work as shown on contract drawings and contract specifications. Perform work specified herein. All work shall comply with the VA specifications and Regulations, procedures, conditions for work at the medical center, and any other applicable codes as per requirements of all governing agencies. Contractor shall be responsible to coordinate and schedule work to minimize any short-duration shutdowns. Contractor shall be expected to perform work typically during duty-hours of the hospital. Contractor shall be responsible to plan and coordinate Construction Phasing with Project Engineer/COTR to ensure full access to buildings at all times. All scheduled work shall be completed during a weekday time allowance. Work to include but not be limited to: "Complete remove existing plaster/metal ceiling system, acoustical ceiling system, light fixtures, partial brick walls, lead paint, etc. Dispose of all construction debris "Install new acoustical ceiling system, new light fixtures, new roof ventilation system "Re paint walls as required "Provide structural integrity repair as required "Provide utility support and hanger design "Provide seismic restrain design for fire protection piping and the acoustical ceiling support "Provide insulation and moisture barrier "Provide intermediate and final inspections "Provide technical specifications "Provide complete construction documents "Provide as-builts "Verify existing caulking at soffit connection to brick does not contain ACM 190 Calendar Days Completion Time from Notice to Proceed The full solicitation is expected to be posted on or about May 10, 2010.
