Description
Performance Specification (P-SPEC) TITLE: Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) Water Purification Device FIRST SUBMITTED ON: 04/23/2010. LAST UPDATED ON: 04/23/2010 DESCRIPTION: The Government is currently requesting information from industry on Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) water purification devices. The attached Performance Specification (P-SPEC) contains the Government requirements. For submissions to be considered, potential offerors must electronically supply (.doc or.pdf formats) the requested information in the order and format in which it is presented to ACC POC: LtCol Steven Stern at steven.stern@langley.af.mil AND 77 AESG POC: Kelli Thompson at kelli.thompson@wpafb.af.mil, NLT 1700 hrs, 13 May 2010. Telephonic responses will not be accepted. Electronic Media can be e-mailed to the above e-mails. The attached performance specification has check boxes listed below each requirement. The potential offeror shall check the box that says "Meet" if their device fully meets the requirement and "Not Meet" if their device does not meet the requirements. If the offerors device does not meet the requirement, the offeror can explain in the comment box how close their device is to meeting the requirement. Quantifiable metrics in the comment boxes are preferred. The offeror may attach additional information such as brochures and pamphlet's to the back of the performance specification. In addition to the above requested information, the Government requests the cost per unit for purchasing the offeror's device. Also include any costs for spare filters that may accompany the device. This information may be located in the brochures or pamphlet's attached to the performance specification. The Government recognizes that proprietary data may be part of this effort. If so, clearly mark such restricted or proprietary data and present it as an addendum to the non-restricted/non-proprietary information. The Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for any improperly identified proprietary information. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations. The Government reserves the right to select one, some, or none of the submissions for further investigation. Submissions shall not exceed twenty (20) 8.5 X 11 inch, single-sided pages per product. Product MSDS, independent technical reports, and laboratory reports may be attached in an appendix and will not count against the length requirement. Vendors who submit packages for review do so with the understanding that U.S. Government personnel as well as their support contractors will review their material and data. Respondents will not (necessarily) be contacted regarding their submission or information gathered as a result of this notice nor the outcome of the Government's review of the solicited information. Participation in this Request for Information is strictly voluntary. The Government will not reimburse offerors for costs associated with their submissions. The Government is under no obligation to award any related contract associated with this announcement. Submitted information packages will be retained by the Government and not returned to the contractor. The Government reserves the right to contact respondents to learn more about their products.
