- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE NAICS 561612 Security Guards and Patrol ServicesThis is a Sources Sought Notice only. This is not a solicitation announcement. This notice is intended as a market research tool to determine the interest of qualified small business sources. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.The U.S Geological Survey (USGS) is considering setting aside a requirement for Security Guard services at its Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, under a small business set-aside program. USGS is in search for vendors that are licensed to provide armed security guard services in the state of South Dakota. The successful contractor will be responsible for all management, supervision, manpower, training, equipment, supplies, licenses, permits, certificates, insurance, pre-employment screenings, reports, and files necessary to accomplish this service. Some positions will require a National Security Information (NSI) Secret level clearance. The Government intends to award a fixed price contract. This is an ongoing requirement that will be satisfied through a one-year base period and four one-year option periods.The government is interested in all small businesses, including 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone, and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, that are interested in performing this requirement. The government requests interested parties submit a brief description of their company's business size (i.e. annual revenues and employee size), business status (i.e., 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, or small business) anticipated teaming arrangements, and a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers. Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners.
