- ***THIS PROPOSED ACQUISITION IS SYNOPSIZED AND NOW CLASSIFIED AS A PRE-SOLICITATION*** This notice is posted in accordance with FAR 5.2 and 36.213-2. This proposed acquisition will be pursued as a competitive Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. In order to qualify for this program, an offeror must be a certified SDVOSB prior to the closing date of the solicitation. The NAICS Code is 238150 and the Size Standard is $14M. SOLICITATION NUMBER: FA8601-10-B-0002 Project Description: Replace (10) multiple lite window units in building 20039 with new aluminum framed windows and insulated glazing. Window frames and muntin/mullion profiles are to match the existing exactly due to the historic status of the facility. Provide new concrete window sills and plastic laminate stools. Paint steel lintels and install sealants. Restore interior finishes in the areas of work including drywall surfaces, ceilings, and carpet as necessary. Provide and install new roller window shades. Complete minor interior trim and electrical work in affected areas as necessary for a complete installation. Complete minor brick masonry disassembly and restoration as well as repointing brick in the areas of work. Estimated magnitude of proposed acquisition is between $100,000 and $250,000. In accordance with FAR 4.1102 and DFARS 252.204-704 "Required Central Contractor Registration," Contractor must be registered in CCR prior to award. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.ccr.gov. NOTES: 1. The solicitation, specifications, and drawings will be available on the World Wide Web on or about 12 MAY 2010 at: http://www.fbo.gov. The tentative date for receipt of proposals is 11 JUN 2010. The period of performance is 180 days. 2. There is no fee for this solicitation. 3. A registration page will be attached to the web site. You are not required to register. However, when you register, you will receive notice of any amendments and/or addenda that may be issued to the solicitation. If you have not registered, it will be your responsibility to check the web site for any changes to the solicitation. 4. You shall provide a signed copy of the SF 1442 at the time and place specified in the solicitation for receipt of proposals. There will be a public opening. Sealed envelopes containing bids shall be marked to show the offeror's name and address, the solicitation number, and the date and time proposals are due. 5. Contractors that are Debarred, Suspended, or Proposed for Debarment are excluded from receiving contracts. Agencies also shall not consent to subcontract with these contractors. 6. This is a WPAFB Construction Contracting (PKJ) program. The current status is Pre-Solicitation and it is a Category Z - Maintenance, repair, and alteration of real property program.
