- 2.0 Scope and Purpose The purpose of this project is to obtain the services of a qualified contractor to run a Project Management Office (PMO) to assist the Office of E-Health Standards and Services (OESS) with the implementation of the EHR incentive programs. This project shall be broken down into three distinct parts. Part 1 - Contractor shall assist with the refinement of the detailed implementation plan for the EHR incentive programs. • Upon award the contractor will review existing plan and provide suggestions for additions and improvements within five (5) days. Part 2 - Contractor shall provide continuous monitoring of the incentive program implementation. This shall also include updating the implementation plan as needed. Part 3 - Contractor provide support for internal activities related to the implementation. The implementation plan covers CMS internal implementation activities for the EHR Incentive programs, including detailed timelines, schedule, issues, and audience identification and coordination. The project plan also covers major milestones, high-level issues and activities, as well as timelines related to the payment of incentives to eligible professionals and eligible hospitals. The plan also incorporate timelines, major milestones and issues related to national outreach as defined in other projects as appropriate. The contractor will review the existing plan and provide suggestions for additions and improvements.
