- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Contracts Department Code 2.5.1.4.2 at Patuxent River, MD in support of NAVAIR 4.5X, Special Surveillance Programs, has a requirement and plans to award a sole source contract to COMPASS Systems, Inc. The follow-on acquisition is for the continued Research, Development, Technical, and Engineering (RDT&E) support to various Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Targeting (C4ISR&T) programs, special mission sensors, unmanned systems, and aircraft systems. COMPASS has been supporting related initiatives for the past eight years, including a C-130 Roll-on-Roll-off (RO-RO) sensor package currently in the final phase before delivery to the fleet. COMPASS Systems, Inc. is the only contractor with the requisite knowledge and experience of the current C4ISR&T systems required for this effort. The estimated period of performance for this acquisition is five years. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS; however, responsible interested parties may submit information in which they can identify interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Responses must be received by 17:00 PM Eastern Time on 8 May 2010. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is: 541712. The anticipated Seaport-e solicitation number for this action is N00024-10-R-3277. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a sole source basis based upon the responses received. The Government will not pay for any information received.
