X---United States Government Seeks Expressions of Interest for Parking Spaces in Detroit, Michigan General Information Document type: Presolicitation Notice Solicitation Number: VA- 101-10-RP-0008 Posted Date: 10-19-2009 Original Response Date: 11-10-2009 Classification Code: X-Lease or rental of facilities Set Aside: N/A Contracting Office Address Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Construction & Facilities Management (00CFM3C), 811 Vermont Avenue, NW, Room 419, Washington, DC 20420 Description: The United States Government (The Department of Veterans Affairs) is seeking to lease a total of approximately 200 surface or structured parking spaces in Detroit, Michigan. The spaces will be for use as a commuter hub for veterans (patients) and employees traveling to and from the John D. Dingell VAMC in Detroit. The requirement is for 200 spaces from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, at any location within the delineated area specified below. The lease term shall be for a firm term of one (1) year, with four (4) one year options. The surface parking spaces provided need to be in a safe, secure location with convenient access to the location listed below. The proposed location needs to be properly zoned to allow for commuter/commercial parking. The parking offered does not have to be designated spaces and any reasonable surface or structured situation that meets the size, location and zoning requirement will be considered. The Lessor will be responsible for all snow and ice removal. Delineated Area: 1-mile radius from the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center with the following address: 4646 John R Street Detroit, MI 48201 EXPRESSIONS SHOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION AND MUST BE RECEIVED IN WRITING NO LATER THAN November 10, 2009 1. Site plan of the parking location and its address. 2. Total number of surface parking spaces being offered. 3. Annual rate per space. Note: The government will pay no more than the appraised fair market rental value for parking spaces.
