Q1) 4.3 Contractor Responsibilities Is there any way the POC would consider Aseptico dental patient chair instead of dental chairs that can move in an a (automatic self-propelled vertical direction)? A1) YES, THE ASEPTICO IS ACCEPTABLE. Q2) 4.5 Contractor Responsibilities You asked for (1) intellitouch perio probe manufactured by Florida Probe Corporation. I want to verify that you only are asking for one. A2) YES, JUST ONE. The only perio instrument necessary is to perform the PSR. It is part of the standard exam kit. No other device or instrument is necessary. Q3) 4.7.1 Contractor Responsibilities What do you mean by (10 radiographic head in each examination room)? A3) NEED THE ABILITY TO DO INTRA-ORAL X-RAY IN EACH EXAM ROOM. Q4) The RFQ states (The mobile dental vehicle will utilize the US Army Dental Commands digital radiographic software). What is the US Army Dental Commands digital radiographic software? Does it have a name such as (Digital Enterprise Viewing & Acquisition Application) (DEVAA)? A4) YES, DEVAA IS THE SOFTWARE. Q5) Whatever the software, where would I be able to find more information about it? Would I need to install on it the contractor's computers? If so, where can I find training and documentation on the software? A5) - DEVAA is the Government software. The commercial software version comparable to DEVAA is made by Apteryx. Yes, contractor is required to insall the apteryx software on their computer. For additional information, go to their website. Q6) Are other third-party imaging programs acceptable (such as VixWin) provided that the images are of good quality and delivered in DICOM format? A6) Only if they can provide output of DICOM images in a non-proprietary format. Q7) The PWS states, The contractor shall provide a minimum of three dental examination rooms in each self-contained unit that meet similar professional standards as found in a fixed dental facility in order to perform a dental exam and provide radiographs. Does this mean that the requirement is for a 3 Operatory, HIPAA, OSHA and ADA compliant Mobile Dental Practice is required or can this be met by utilizing a portable office trailer? A7) REGARDLESS OF WHAT TYPE OF MOBILE DENTAL PRACTICE IS SELECTED, THAT MOBILE DENTAL PRACTICE MUST BE HIPAA, OSAH, AND ADA COMPLIANT. Q8) Are lead lined walls required to protect from radiation emitted during the x-ray process? A8) YES LEAD LINED WALLS ARE REQUIRED. Q9) 4.6.6. The contractor shall ensure the mobile dental vehicle is capable of receiving and externally attached network connection into the supporting post/camp/building's respective network topology, e.g.: external network switch port that can connect to a campus network. Please confirm that the government will provide the internet connectivity. A9) THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT PROVIDE INTERNET CONNECTIVITY TO THE CONTRACTOR COMPUTERS. Q10) Is 5 May a set-up day for the contractor or is this the first day of service for the government? A10) 5 MAY 2010 IS THE SET-UP FOR THE FIRST EXERCISE. 6 MAY 2010 IS SCHEDULED TO BE A (DRY RUN) WHERE ALL CAPABILITIES MUST BE READY TO RECEIVE DENTAL PATIENTS. In order to meet mission requirement, the cut off for questions is now set at 23 April 2010 proposals are due 27 April 2010 @ 4:30 PM.
