- RECOVERY PMIS NUMBER 114045 This requirement is funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act). In accordance with contract clause 52.204-11 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act - Reporting Requirements, the contractor is required to register in FederalReporting.gov and report certain information as required by the clause. Reports shall be submitted during the first 10 days after the end of each calendar quarter. To assist you in registering and completing the reporting requirements, the following codes are provided: Treasury Account Symbol (TAS): 14 1035 Awarding Agency Code: 1443 Government Contracting office code: 12000 Funding Agency Code: 1443 NAICS Code: 334513. The National Park Service, Grand Canyon National Park, has a requirement for controls for its water treatment system. A brand name justification is included below. Contractors bidding on this requirement are required to complete the SF18 Request Quotation for Q8219102101 included as a FedBizOpps attachment as part of their quote. FOB Destination pricing to NPS Warehouse, 1576 Shuttle Bus Rd., Grand Canyon, AZ 86023 is required. This requirement is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) No. Q8219102010. The FAR clauses and provisions enclosed are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-40. This solicitation is a total set-aside for small business. The NAICS code is 334513-Instruments and Related Products Manufacturing for Measuring, Displaying, and Controlling Industrial Process Variables with an associated small business size standard of 500 employees or less. A firm, fixed price contract will be awarded for these commercial items on an "all or nothing" basis. Offerors must return a completed bid schedule and the following information: company name, official point of contact, DUNS Number, full address, telephone and fax numbers, and email address. The resulting contract from this combined synopsis/solicitation will be funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act). Due to the magnitude of this order and IAW DOI class deviation dated Feb 25, 2010 the successful vendor is NOT exempt from the reporting requirements of FAR clause 52.204-11 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act-Reporting Requirements. BRAND NAME ONLY JUSTIFICATION Controls Requirement for Grand Canyon National Park The major potable water and wastewater systems (specifically the control and automation system) currently in place at the Grand Canyon National Park (GRCA) requires replacement components. The manufacturer, Automation Direct, was the original designer, manufacturer, and installer of the control and automation system. In order to meet the government's requirement and maintain the integrity of the system, the replacements parts from Automation Direct are the only parts, with no known similar parts, that can meet the particular features of the system. e. Other brand name components used in this unique system are manufactured by Stride, Dayton, Eaton, Solo and Pro Sense. These components, although made by other manufacturers, must be replaced in kind so that the whole system works as designed. Based on the proprietary nature of a large portion of the systems' components there are no other manufacturers that can fulfill the requirements of those components. Based on the above information, we recommend the brand name parts from Automation Direct and their components as the only company that can provide the needed components for repair and replacement of the control system parts.
