Description
Request for Information Court Security Services Summary: This notice is not a Request for Proposal/Quote or Bid. This sources sought is a market research tool to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources which will be used for planning purposes and to determine if potential sources exist to support this set-aside requirement. This information is not to be interpreted as a commitment by the Government. Participation in this effort is strictly voluntary with no cost or obligation to be incurred by the Government. This sources sought is in support of an anticipated acquisitions of Court Security Officer Services for the Small Business Set-Asides, the Central District of Illinois in the 7th Judicial Circuit and the Northern District of Florida in the 11th Judicial Circuit for the U. S. Marshals Service (USMS). The potential annual work hours are listed as follows: Central District of Illinois in the 7th Circuit 66, 264 hours (33 positions) Northern District of Florida in the 11th Circuit 116,464 hours (58 positions) One of the major responsibilities for the USMS is to ensure the safety of all federal courts and court employees against unauthorized, illegal, and potentially life-threatening activities. For more than two decades, the USMS has sought the services of the private sector to provide highly qualified and skilled individuals to assist in this effort. Through this synopsis, the USMS is requesting the capabilities of contractors interested in providing these services in one or more of the above judicial circuits’ districts. 8(a) set-asides are encouraged to respond. Instructions: All interested parties should submit a response in Microsoft Word or PDF Format. All information should be UNCLASSIFIED material only. Any company proprietary information must be marked as such. Information should not exceed 10 one-sided 8 ˝ x 11 pages, with one inch margins, and font no smaller than 12 point. Respondents should include as part of their submission: 1.Company name, address, phone number; a point of contact with email address; Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) Number; and small business status, if applicable, including status as a small disadvantaged business, 8(a) business, woman-owned small business, HUBZone small business, veteran-owned small business, and/or service disabled veteran-owned small business. 2.A summary of the company’s past performance in providing services similar to those identified in the attached draft statement of work during the past five years, including any on-going contracts. Include Contracting Activities/Agencies, Contract Numbers, Contract Value, Contract Period of Performance, Number of labor hours provided during the period of performance, and a Point of Contact at the Contracting Activity who can verify the information you provided. 3.A listing of the Districts above in which you are interested in providing the services identified in the attached statement of work. 4.A description of how you would staff the following positions with suitable, experienced, qualified, trained personnel in each circuit listed in your response to Question 3. Include in your description whether you would staff these positions through current in house staff or through staff augmentation as listed below: a.Contract Manager b.Site Supervisor(s) c.Lead Court Security Officers d.Court Security Officers All submissions should be e-mailed no later than 3:00pm Friday, April 30, 2010 to Patricia Hoffman, Contract Specialist at Patricia.Hoffman@usdoj.gov.
