- Description
- There are currently 4 forced air heating oil furnaces providing heat for the Blackduck Ranger Station. This project involves the removal of these furnaces and replacement with high efficiency forced air LPgas furnaces. There is currently a high efficiency LP-gas furnace on-site that will be used to replace furnace #4. The furnace is a Lennox Elite model G51MP. Furnaces 1-3 will be replaced by new high efficiency LP-gas furnaces. The furnaces will need to be connected to the LP-gas storage tank provided by the government. There are also cold spots in the building that need to be addressed. Modifications to the heat system are required to eliminate the cold spots. Removal and disposal of the existing underground heating oil storage tank is part of this contract. Contract is expected to begin July 1 and completed in 60 days. Project Cost Estimate is $25,000 to $50,000. A prebid conference will be held on May 19, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Blackduck Ranger District Office 417 Forestry Drive Blackduck, MN 56630.
