Description

The contractor shall provide spare parts for the Weapon Control Systems (WCS) including the Mk 98 Fire Control Systems (FCS), Mk 1 Mod 0 Attack Weapon Control System (AWCS), Auxiliary Systems, Strategic Weapon System Maintenance Information Network (SWSMIN), AWCS Maintenance Information Network (AMIN), Electronic Work Log (EWL) and associated Guidance and Weapon Control Support Equipment. Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS), Pittsfield, MA. GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the TRIDENT II D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control System (FCS) and submarine-launched TOMAHAWK Attack Weapon Control System (AWCS) and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise and in-place capability to perform the required effort.
