Description
Copy of Bid Documents from solicitation to be completed and returned Project Drawings Project Specifications Solicitation documents including prebid/site visit information THE BID OPENING DATE HAS BEEN UPDATED BELOW TO MATCH THE SOLICITATION PACKAGE BEING UPLOADED. RECOVERY - The U. S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area, has a project entitled RECOVERY - Repair Building 17 Finishes, Avian Disease and Oncology Laboratory (ADOL), East Lansing, MI. The work includes but is not limited to: furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other necessary work for repairs and restoration of interior and exterior finishes, architectural components and storm water improvements at Building 17 located at ADOL, E. Lansing, MI. Building 17 is an approximate 6400 square foot, poultry housing facility. Project components include, but are not limited to: FRP product installation on interior walls and ceilings; repair of concrete floor cracks; application of epoxy floor covering; demolition of abandoned ductwork; replacement of exterior door aprons; replacement of pipe insulation; replacement of diffusers; replacement of feed bin concrete pad; repair of exterior aluminum siding; replacement of exterior louvers; installation of new guttering systems; installation of new roof and gutter ice melt system; miscellaneous demolition and regrading of adjacent grounds from improved drainage away from the building. The project will include a base bid and bid options. The total period of performance is 135 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). The Magnitude of Construction is estimated between $100,000 to $250,000. SET-ASIDE: This acquisition will be procured as a total HubZone set-aside. Firms must be certified with the Small Business Administration. All responsible businesses meeting the requirements may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The NAICS code is 236220 and the annual size standard under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program for this project is 33.5 million. This project is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and requires periodic reporting by the contractor in accordance with the ARRA. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-39. Solicitation No. AG-5114-S-10-AA11 is scheduled for uploading on or about April 12, 2010. The solicitation will be posted on the FedBizOpps website at www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. It is the responsibility of the contractor to check the website for the solicitation, as well as any amendments that may arise. A pre-bid site visit will be scheduled and information provided in the solicitation package. It is highly recommended and strongly encouraged that all prospective bidders visit the project site, inspect and observe the site conditions, and review the project scope and requirements at the site prior to submission of a bid. This will be the only opportunity to visit the job site prior to submission of bid. Bids will be due by 2:00 PM on May 21, 2010. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. Contractors are required to register or update their registration at the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov in order to receive a contract award under this solicitation, and register or update their registration at the Online Representation and Certification Application website at http://orca.bpn.gov.
