Description
RECOVERY - This acquisition will be funded in whole or in part by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), Public Law 111-5. This is a 100% Small Business set-aside. The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), requires Contractor support for its Health Information Technology (HIT) HIPAA Security Content Automation. The Contractor shall provide technical expertise and consultation in the use of the Security Content Automation Protocol suite of specifications to support the development of security baseline configurations and content to provide security configuration profiles and virtual test images enabling greater HIT and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Security Rule technical automation. This pre-solicitation notice is for non-commercial services. NIST intends to solicit this acquisition under the procedures set forth in FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. The period of performance is anticipated to be one (1) year. The Government intends to utilize the Time and Materials contract type for these services because it is not possible for the Government to estimate accurately the extent or duration of the work with any reasonable degree of confidence. Availability of Solicitation: NIST intends to post the Solicitation on www.fbo.gov on or about 15 days after this notice is posted. Proposals will be due no later than thirty (30) days after the Solicitation is posted on www.fbo.gov. How to obtain Solicitation and Amendments: Potential Offerors will be responsible for obtaining the Solicitation and related Amendment (s) if any, from www.fbo.gov after the Solicitation has been posted. It is, and will continue to be the responsibility of each potential Offeror to monitor www.fbo.gov for any amendment (s), or other information related to the Solicitation. The Government will not be maintaining a mailing list, any communications regarding the Solicitation may only be submitted by e-mail, and should identify the Solicitation number, company name and address, as well as point-of-contact, e-mail address and telephone number. Requirement for active registration in CCR: Each Offeror must have an active registration at www.ccr.gov to be eligible to receive an award under this acquisition.
