- Pre-Solicitation Notice The Oklahoma VA Medical Center Medical Center is requesting the services of a contractor to modify the Animal Research Facility to allow for the installation of a cage and rack washer and tunnel washer. The selected contractor is responsible for modifying the building and the building utilities as necessary to allow for the installation of a Better Built Model R630 Cage /Rack Washer and Model T236 Tunnel Washer. The site preparation contractor shall remove the entire hard ceiling in rooms GR111 and GR112. The contractor shall install three oversized doors one at the exterior and two at the interior of the building to allow equipment access into Animal Research Facility. The contractor shall modify the existing pit for the cage washer to accommodate the new cage washer. During pit modification the contractor shall relocate the drain to allow for maintenance access following cage washer installation. Contractor shall demolish existing ducting and exhaust fan motors for the cage and tunnel washer. The contractor shall purchase and install two (2) new exhaust fans and install stainless steel ducting. Contractor shall replace existing ducting for cage and tunnel washer in GR111 and GR112. The contractor shall install two (2) new stainless steel ducts vertically at the east face of the building. All stainless steel ducting connections shall be welded except where mechanical connections are necessary for maintenance removal and replacement. Contractor will replace or install four GFI electrical outlets in GF111 or GF112. This is a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set aside.
