- Description
- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS), Orient Point, NY, intends to issue a sole source purchase order with Roche Diagnostic Corp for one GS Junior Instrument with accessories, software, manuals, reagents, IKA Turrax and training. Specifications: Bases per run - Greater than 35 million for average shotgun library and Greater than 28 million for a typical 350 base amplicon; Number of reads -Average of 100,000 for shotgun library and Average of 80,000 for amplicon library; Read Quality - Cumulative error of less than 1% (Q20) at 400 bases; Run time -Less than 10 hours; Data analysis time -Less than 3 hours on attendant PC; Mapping- Using GS Mapper on PC, genomes or target regions less than 50 Mega bases; Assembly - Using GS Assembler on PC, genomes or regions less than 12 Mega bases; Amplicon Analysis - Find rare variants, view single clonal reads. Footprint - 40cm X 60 cm X 4 cm. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest in having their product tested for approval. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
