Description
Solicitation N00421-10-T-0176 is issued as a synopsis/request for quotation. The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit and negotiate the proposed purchase request for competition, under the authority of FAR Part 13.104. The contract line item numbers and description are: A. Background The Propulsion Systems Evaluation Facility (PSEF) is adapting Test Room 116 to test large Turbo-shaft engines. A water dynamometer will be utilized to load the turbo shaft engine. The process cooling water loop requires a vertical turbine water pump and motor system that can supply the dynamometer will the required pressure and flow. A variable speed drive control unit is required. The primary characteristics of the system are listed below. B. Primary Features: CLIN 0001 - Quantity 1 each PUMP Discharge: 8" 150# R.F. ANSI flange Inlet: 9'3" from bottom of mounting flange to bottom of inlet Stage: 4 (four) GPM: 1075 Head: 220'-0" Impeller: Semi-open Strainer: Required CLIN 0002 - Quantity 1 each MOTOR Make: USEM or eq. Enclosure: WP-1 Type: vhs NRR: YES Horse power: 75 RPM: 1770 Phase: 3 Hertz: 60 Voltage: 460 Coupling: threaded A. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is a request for competitive proposals. All proposals received by 03 May 2010 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information received.
