- RECOVERY The U. S. Army, Corps of Engineers has a requirement to purchase Hach Hydrolab DS5 Multiprobes water quality monitoring equipment to establish baseline conditions for the northern portion of Okatibbee Lake and intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Hach Company, 5600 Lindbergh Drive, Loveland, CO 80539-0608, under the authority of FAR 6.302. The Mobile District has Hach water monitoring equipment in place at eight locations around Okatibbee Lake. To maintain compatibility and efficiency for spare parts, it is considered in the Governments best interest to buy the same type of equipment for the new location. The Hach Company is the only company who sells the Hydrolab equipment. American Reinvestment and Recovery Act Funds will be utilized for this project. It is anticipated that a Firm-Fixed-Price Contract will be awarded. The (NAICS) code is 334516 and number of employees is 500. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within ten calendar days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) contains specific acquisition requirements that must be met when using funds appropriated by the Act. Contracting Office Address: U. A.
