- RECOVERY ACT - This procurement is being funded via the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) This notice is released to announce the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Great Plains Regional Office, intent to award a firm-fixed price construction contract. Principal works under the specifications include: Replacement of the Wounded Knee School building's chilled and hot water 2 pipe system (abandon in place) with a new 4 pipe system, ancillary ventilation system, new ceiling assemblies as well as replacing and upgrading the lighting system to current standards throughout the 37,000 square foot building located on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, in Shannon County, Manderson, South Dakota. The Bureau of Indian Affairs, Great Plains Regional Office, requires a firm fixed-price construction contract, and the procurement method is Sealed Bid procedures, FAR Part 14 and 26. The estimated dollar value of this procurement is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The Period of Performance is 365 calendar days. Bidders are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. The project is classified under NAICS Code 238220 and has a size standard of $14 Million. The solicitation if funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), Public Law 111-5; and the contractor shall comply with ARRA statue and all applicable laws, regulations, provisions, policies, procedures, and clauses, included but not limited to meeting the requirements of Sec. 1512 of the ARRA and other accountability and transparency conditions. Please note that this is only an announcement for an upcoming solicitation. There is no solicitation packet available at this time. Anticipated release for Invitation for Bid No. RA00010082 is May 6, 2010. Technical questions must be submitted fifteen (15) calendar days before the bid opening date.
