- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a sole-source, fixed price procurement with 5.11 Tactical Series, 4300 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95356 under RFQ 0224078. This is under the authority of FAR 6.302-1: Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website ( www.fbo.gov ). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. 5.11 Tactical Series will provide the FBI with raid jackets. After extensive market research conducted with knowledgeable individuals in both the government and the industry, it has been determined that 5.11 Tactical Series will provide the best designed jacket that meets all requirements in both safety, function and design which will allow concealment when necessary. 5.11 Tactical can also deliver the quantities and colors requested in the required time frame. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes, however, interested parties may identify their interests in these type requirements to this office by 10:00 am (Eastern), April 22, 2010 via email only to the attention of Amy Lacy at aelacy@fbiacademy.edu. The North American Industrial Classification System Number (NAICS) is 315299, and the size standard is 500 employees.
