Description
THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS SOURCES SOUGHT OR TO OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED This is a Request for Information (RFI) as defined in FAR 15.201(e). The Government seeks to identify responsible potential sources and obtain information regarding possible suppliers who can provide fuel storage facilities for F76 (marine diesel) and HRF76 (hydro-treated renewable marine diesel) and blending tanks with the following minimum capacities: F76 - 25,000 USG HRF76 - 25,000 USG HRF76/F76 50:50 blend - 50,000USG. The facility must be capable of providing segregated storage, ability to circulate/blend the HRF76 with F76 to reach a 50:50 product blend, tanks must meet quality standards for the product, and be available by 1 Sep 10. Blending tank must be large enough to blend and store the blended product, recommend a 55,000 USG tank. The facility must be able to receive/issue by Tank Truck or BFC. Please provide some basic information about your existing or proposed facilities: a. Location, map coordinates, facility restrictions/capacities, operating and loading hours, tank storage history/availability dates. The area of consideration is any location in the CONUS with a preference for facilities located in Virginia, Maryland and Texas. LEASE PERIOD: 1 Sep 10 - 30 Apr 11, with an option period of 1 May 11 - 31 Dec 11 This is a sources sought synopsis only, not a request for proposals (RFP), and this is not to be construed as a commitment by the government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. This is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be made as a result of this synopsis. No proprietary data should be submitted in response to the synopsis. Any submissions will be considered to be public information. Responses will not be returned.
