- FMVSS NOS. 119 AND 139 TIRE TESTING AND EQUIPMENT. The US Department of Transportation, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (DOT/NHTSA), has a requirement for the support of the Agency's annual tier compliance program. This requirement includes the necessary qualified personnel, facilities, materials, supplies, and equipment to perform testing services necessary to determine conformance of test items (i.e., tires) provided to the contractor as Government Furnished Test Items (GFTI) or purchased by the contractor (Contractor Purchased Test Items (CPTI)) as specified in the contract and determined by the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR), with the requirements of TP-109-09, TP-119-04 or 05, TP-119-06, TP-139-03 and TP-575-TE-01, as applicable. The contractor shall provide test reports to the agency in conjunction with completing each test. Solicitation of proposals for this requirement is limited to US firms. A multiple award Indefinite Quantity contract is contemplated. Submit your interest in this requirement, with a Statement of Capability consisting of your experience and history in this field, via e-mail to: NHTSAOAM@dot.gov. Submissions must be received no later than 4:00 P.M., May 7, 2010. A formal Request for Proposals will be announced on FedBizOpps and available on or about May 18, 2010.
