- Contractor to furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary for Project 568-10-214, HVAC Corrections for SPD, at Black Hills Healthcare System located at 500 N. 5th St., Hot Springs, South Dakota 57747, as detailed on the contract drawings and specifications. Work includes but is not limited to renovation of existing forms room to accommodate 2 existing Steris washer/disinfector machines and one new washer/disinfector. The renovation of this room includes architectural and ventilation modifications to accommodate the machines. The project will also include replacement of the existing air handling unit serving SPD located in Mechanical Room DB020 with a new unit in order to comply with VA HVAC design manual requirements. Currently, the HVAC system does not comply with required VA design criteria regarding correct number of air exchanges and pressure requirements. The new system will include applicable exhaust and ventilation alarms. This project will also require relocation of an existing telephone hub. Estimated construction cost is between $250,000 - $500,000. Applicable NAICS is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors with a size standard of $14 million. This project is 100% set-aside for a service-disabled veteran owned small business. Completion time is 110 days after date of receipt of notice to proceed. Solicitation will be available on or about May 3, 2010 with an estimated response date of June 3, 2010.
