- Brand Name justification. Shipping, Delivery & Invoicing Instructions Equipment Listing COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION (I) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items under FAR 13.5 prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6-Steamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. (II) Request for Quotations (RFQ) are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is DG133E-10-RQ-0549. (III) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-40. (IV) This is not a small business set-aside. The NACIS Code is 423430- Computer and Computer Peripheral Equipment and Software. The Small Business Size Standard is 100 employees. However, this requirement is unrestricted and all interested parties may submit a quote. (V) List of Contract Line Item Numbers are listed in Attachment 1 (Equipment List-Thin Client Demonstration Project). Line Items total 150. (VI) This acquisition is restricted to brand name only as identified in the list of equipment in Attachment 1. Items include IT Hardware and Software for the Thin Client Technology Demonstration Pilot Project. Items included are: (1) HP DL360 Server with components, (2) HP Blade System with components, (3) HP Switches with components, (4) CISCO Network Switches with components, (5) NetApp Storage, (6) Ethernet Cables, (7) APC, (8) VMware, (9) Citrix, and (10) Licenses. All specific equipment (hardware and software) and licenses are identified in Attachment 1. (VII) Date of delivery is not later than 30 dates after award. Place of delivery and acceptance is as follows: NOAA Satellite and Information Service ATTN: THIN CLIENT TECHNOLOGY DEMO PILOT PROJECT 1335 East West Highway SSMC1, Room 7240 Silver Spring, MD 20910 Delivery is FOB Destination. Additional shipping instructions are listed in Attachment 2 (Delivery/Shipping Instructions). (VIII) FAR Clause 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial applies to this acquisition. (IX) FAR Clause 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Evaluation will be based on delivery time of 30 days or less and pricing. Both factors are equal in importance. (X) FAR Clause 52.213-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications are applicable to this acquisition. Offerors are not required to submit the Reps and Certs but are required to provide the Government with the DUNS number to allow the Government to search the CCR for the Reps and Certs. Should an Offeror not have current Reps and Certs, the Offeror shall not be considered for award. (XIV) Defense Priorities and Allocation System (DPAS) is not applicable. (XV) Quotations are due NOT LATER THAN 29 April 2010, 1:00 pm Eastern Standard Time.
