Description
FY10 UAS FTU COMPLEX-VERTICAL ADD/ALTER MAINTENANCE HANGER BUILDING 500 ADD/ALTER SQUADRON OPERATIONS BUILDING 318 HELLFIRE PGM FACILITY HAYMAN STORAGE FACILITY, HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, OTERO COUNTY, NEW MEXICO. The proposed procurement is a Total Small Business Set-aside. NAICS is 236220/SIC 1542, with a size standard of $33,500,000.00. The magnitude of construction for this project will be between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. Offerors attention is directed to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for information regarding the tour of the site. Plans will be issued on or about 05 May 2010, with proposals due on or about 07 June 2010. Offerors are advised that this requirement may be delayed, cancelled, or revised at any time during the solicitation, or final award process, and is subject to the availability of funds. THE PROJECT consists of the construction of 4 facilities, a squadron Operations Building 318, a squadron Operations/Aircraft Maintenance Unit addition to Hanger 500, a Hellfire munitions maintenance facility, and Hayman munitions storage igloo. Squadron Operations Building 318: 4,756 SM (51,193 SF) renovation of an existing squadron operations building, The renovation will include new interior walls and finishes, fire suppression, new roofing, masonry veneer block, blast resistant windows, stucco, and elevator, utilities, generator back-up power, site improvements, and communications systems. Hanger 500 addition: Construction of a 1,354 SM (14,574 SF) addition for a UAV maintenance unit, the construction of a Hellfire PGM (munitions maintenance facility, addition will include fire suppression, utilities, site improvements, communications systems and all necessary support for the Predator aircraft. The fire suppression of the hanger will be funded by O&M dollars. Hellfire PGM: Construction of a 384 SM (4,134) SF) munitions maintenance facility with 2 munitions bays connected to an administrative space. The building construction is concrete blast walls, metal roofing, and masonry units. Interior work includes new partion and finishes. The project also includes bridge cranes in the munitions bays and a lighting protection system. Hayman Igloo: Construction of a 150SM (1625 SM) Hayman munitions storage igloo using concrete reinforced walls with earthen covered roof. Includes lightning protection system. THE PROJECT will be advertised as a Request for Proposal. Competitive proposals will be evaluated based on the evaluation criteria set forth in the solicitation package. Evaluation by the Government will result in selection of a firm that represents the best value to the Government. Proposed procurement will result in a firm-fixed price contract.
