This task is for an urgent and compelling requirement IAW FAR 8.405-6 (b)(3). Failure to make repairs quickly could severely impact patient care. As a result, a modification to perform this repair will go to the current task order vendor who maintains this facility. They are familiar with all aspects of the requirement and continuity of maintenance operations that is vital to the Air Force and its mission. This task is an urgent and compelling requirement IAW FAR 8.405-6 (b)(3) to provide labor and material for the replacement of two dental air compressors at Minot AFB, ND. If the compressor fails, the Dental Clinic will be shut down. It will force Active Duty patients to seek dental care in the civilian network which in turn causes additional financial burden to the AF Medical Service. Active Duty personnel will also be impacted. Failure to make repairs quickly could severely impact patient care. Johnson Controls is the vendor who maintains this facility. They are familiar with all aspects of the requirement and continuity of maintenance operations that is vital to the Air Force and its mission. A firm fixed price call order modification will be processed against Johnson Controls current call order that was issued against a BPA under a GSA Schedule and Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) contract to provide facility maintenance for Minot AFB. Failure to provide repairs to the Dental Clinic will impact patient care and diminish the ability of Minot AFB to provide care to its See Attached LSJ ROSE M.
