- Description
- The Office of Acquisition Logistics and Construction, National Acquisition Center, Business Resource Service intends to release a competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) number VA-797-10-RP-0079 for project 796-09-007 entitled Roof Replacement, Building 37 on or about the April 30, 2010. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified, the full solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov. The solicitation will be a 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Firms. The applicable NAICS code will be 238160 with an applicable small business size standard of 14 million. The project magnitude range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Time for completion is 120 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and in accordance with FAR 2.101, VAAR 802.101, VetBiz Registration, prospective firms must be registered in CCR and in the VetBiz databases prior to award. Firms may obtain CCR information at http://www.ccr.gov and VetBiz information at http://vip.vetbiz.gov There will be a site visit/pre construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the site visit pre construction conference will be included in the solicitation package. Proposals will be evaluated in accordance with FAR Part 15 and will be posted in the solicitation. This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation to satisfy the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. The Contracting Officer will not be able to answer any question to this notice until a RFP is issued and questions will only be answered that are received by Request for Information (RFI). The Contracting Office will not maintain a bidder's mailing list. All interested parties should register via FedBizOpps interested vendors list. Do not contact the Contracting Officer for General Contractor Information. It is the responsibility of the bidder to monitor and download amendments from FedBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. The scope of work for this project is to construct a new roof approximately 43,267 square foot, under solicitation VA-797-10-RP-0079, for project 796-09-007. All plans will be in accordance with applicable VA design criteria. The successful contractor shall be expected to provide all tools, labor, materials, permits, licenses, and supervision for demolition, renovation and new construction per the solicitation documents, drawings and specifications. The solicitation will be VA-797-10-RP-0079, for project 796-09-007 located at the VA Service Distribution Center, Hines, Illinois. Work includes but is not limited to demolition of existing roofing materials, and associated lightning protection materials. Provide new roof replacement systems (SEBS-MODIFIED BITUMINOUS MEMBRANE ROOFING), wall cladding systems, new lightning protection systems, and electrical rework.
