- Project Title: Timber Lake Job Corps Center, Dining Hall Ceiling Replacement Place of Performance: Timber Lake Job Corps Center, 59868 E. Hwy 224, Estacada, OR 97023 (Clackamas County) Description of Requirement: Work for this project consists of the replacement of fluorescent recessed luminaires including removal, disposal, and installation of new fluorescent recessed luminaries and removal, cleaning, storage, and reinstallation of recessed can type light fixtures and replacement of the acoustical panel ceiling and metal suspension system including removal, disposal, and installation of new grid mounted grilles and diffusers, speaker grilles, fire sprinkler escutcheons, acoustical ceiling panels, and metal suspension system. Complete specifications will be included in the solicitation package when it is posted. Additional Information: The Government plans to award a firm fixed-price contract resulting from the solicitation to the responsible quoter whose quote conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government based on the evaluation factors listed in the solicitation. It is anticipated that a site visit will be scheduled in the first or second week of May, 2010, and it is recommended that the quoter attend to verify the scope of the work, the type of material required, and constraints of the existing building. Specific information regarding a site visit (dates and times) will be included in the solicitation, when it is posted. DO NOT contact the Center directly for dates or times of the site visit. The period of performance for this requirement will be 75 days from the Notice to Proceed. However, the construction phase of this project MUST be completed DURING the winter break shut down at Timber Lake Job Corps Center when the dining hall is closed to students. The actual dates of the winter break shut down are December 17, 2010 to January 3, 2011. Per FAR Part 36.204, the estimated price range for this project is $25,000 to $100,000. It is 100% Set-Aside for Small Business. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238310 and the small business size standard is $14 million. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database located at http://www.ccr.gov, and have completed electronic representations and certifications on the ORCA database located at http://orca.bpn.gov. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation. This pre-solicitation notice (synopsis) does not constitute a solicitation. The solicitation will be available for free download at www.fbo.gov on or around May 3, 2010, however this date may change and we invite all interested parties to check frequently for a possible change to this date. Paper copies of the solicitation WILL NOT be issued and telephone requests or fax requests for the solicitation WILL NOT be accepted. The approximate due date for receipt of quotes is May 20, 2010. The actual date will be confirmed in the solicitation documents. Electronic quotes will be accepted. Faxed quotes will not be not accepted.
