- The proposed procurement is 100% set aside for small business with a NAICS code of 336611. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers requires that the contractor shall furnish all the necessary services, equipment, labor, and material to complete the herein described work in a professional and timely fashion. The contractor is also responsible for the security of the vessel and its components during the duration of the work. The debris vessel BD-D (D/V BD-5) is moored at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Baltimore District Washington D.C. Pier. The vessel is 37 feet in length by 14 feet in beam steel hulled vessel. Vessel Weight is approximately 25 tons. Due to the time and cost of transportation, the work within this sope shall be accomplished within a 90 mile radius of the Baltimore District Washington D.C. office. All questions shall be submitted via e-mail to the contracting office at Alisia.L.Waldon@usace.army.mil. Bids can be submitted via email to the contracting office or mail to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Contracting Division, Simplified Acquisitions Team, 10 South Howard Street, Room 7000, Baltimore, MD 21201-2530. The solicitation will be available at the close of business o/a 04/19/2010 to interested vendors to create an account (unless they already have one) and download/obtain the solicitation at FEDBIZOPPS (Federal Business Opportunities aka FBO)http://www.fbo.gov. You must be CCR registered in order to create an account at FEDBIZOPPS. The CCR website is http://www.ccr.gov as you will need your MPIN (Marketing Partner Identification Number) when creating an account at FEDBIZOPPS. If you do not have an account at FEDBIZOPPS you will be locked out from obtaining a hard copy of the solicitation at FEDBIZOPPS.
