- NIH Small Business Industry Day flyer At the National Institutes of Health, we firmly believe that Small Business is the HEART of our Economy! The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is sponsoring a Small Business Industry Day on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. The theme is “Strategic Alliances: The Key to Successful Acquisitions.” The event will enable small businesses, including 8(a), HUBZONE, Woman-Owned, and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned firms, to network and partner in acquisition opportunities at NIH. The NIH Industry Day will include the following: Expert Opinions: Keynote speakers and VIP attendees will provide insight into their relationships with small businesses, while NIH Program managers will forecast anticipated areas of opportunity Work Shops: There will be key individuals from NIH's Small Business Office, Acquisition and Contract Offices, as well as Commercial Accounts to provide vendors with information with will assist in developing a relationship with NIH Q & A: Procurement Officers, Contracting and Project Officers, and Program Managers will answer your specific questions about building and maintaining business relationships with NIH'S 27 Institutes and Centers. Networking Opportunities: NIH will conduct matchmaking sessions that will provide small business representatives the chance to interact with NIH Project Officers, Procurement Staff, and businesses interested in mentor and/or subcontracting programs. If you are interested in doing business with NIH or you already engage in a relationship with NIH but you want to maximize your presence by expanding the services you offer to NIH then this is the event for you!
