- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with The Boeing Company of St. Louis, MO, for the development of technical work packages that provide Organizational and Intermediate maintenance instructions and Illustrated Parts Breakdown for the F/A-18 E/F Antenna Coupler Set, p/n 74D760500-1003 and the Nose Landing Gear Drag Brace Seal Tool Set p/n CAT5759-23. These work packages will be incorporated into the General Support Equipment manual # NAVAIR AG-000EF-GSE-000 and distributed to the fleet to facilitate maintenance. The Boeing Company is the only source that can provide these specific work pacakges as propriatey information is in each work package and no other source than the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), the Boeing Company, can place this proprietary data into the work packages. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 3204 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own current data rights to these drawing packages to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government, not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
