- Responses are due no later than 12:00p.m. Eastern Time April 26, 2010. This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for informational purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR BIDS. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District requests capability statements from Small Businesses concerning the potential project described below. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. Responses are to be sent via email to christina.sale@usace.army.mil or hard copy to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Baltimore District, 10 S. Howard Street, Room 7000, Baltimore, MD 21201-1715 no later than 12:00pm Eastern Time April 26, 2010. Project Description: The US Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District has a proposed requirement to lease furnished apartments within the Washington, DC National Capital Region. NAICS 531110 and Size Standard is $7,000,000.00 for this procurement. The requirement is for 47 one-bedroom, 78 two-bedroom and 1 three-bedroom furnished apartments within an apartment community to be located within 13 miles of Bolling Air Force Base and within 7 miles of Ronald Reagan National Airport. The contract will be for a period of 5 years. Due to Threat Protection for the National Capital Region guidelines, no more than 44 apartments will be permitted in any apartment community. All apartments shall: - Be fully furnished to include the furniture, appliances, linens, dishes/glasses & cookware and washers & dryers. Apartment community(ies) must have fitness facilities on-site, or within mile walk, and shall be no more that mile from a grocery store. - Be free of defects, defacements, and stains; all apartments and amenities must meet all federal, state, and local health, environmental, and safety standards. - Include a kitchen, living/dining room, separate bedroom and have a private bathroom with tub and shower, and storage/closet area in addition to bedroom closet. - Be equipped with smoke detectors, dead bolt locks on all access doors, and secure locking windows. Apartments shall include: heating, air conditioning, water, electricity, local telephone service with voice mail, high speed internet (cable modem or DSL service), unlimited local/800 telephone service, expanded cable television service with HBO in the living room and expanded cable television in each bedroom, all at no cost to the occupant. Interested Small Businesses who are not Real Estate Brokers should submit a narrative demonstrating their experience in similar services type contracts which demonstrates their ability to perform the work. Capability statements should include the following information: details of similar projects, dates of services, project references (including owner with phone number and email address), and contract amount. Narratives shall be no longer than five pages. Comments will be shared with the Government and the project management team, but otherwise be held in strict confidence. Comments may be in any format, but must include the offerors name, phone number, and email address.
