- DESCRIPTION The McClellan Park Consolidated Contracting Activity (CCA) is issuing a Sources Sought Announcement to determine if there are any Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) and Small businesses that can provide Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) and Heart-Saver trainers to provide a Certification and Recertification classes following the American Heart Association (AHA) standards to the employees/staff of the Fresno Healthcare System. This will be a Base Year plus four (4) Option Years contract for the Veterans Affairs Central California Health Care System (VACCHCS) at 2615 E. Clinton Avenue, Fresno, California 93703, a Department of Veterans Affairs facility within the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 21). The contractor will provide personnel and supervision to conduct initial CPR classes and CPR re-certification courses on a monthly basis to a full spectrum of healthcare system employees. Heart-Saver Automated External Defibrillator (AED) classes will also be offered, as stand-alone classes, for non-professional employees, veterans and veteran family members. Heart-Saver AED classes will use the AHA standard curriculum and current guidelines. All materials and equipment will be supplied by the VACCHCS. In addition, the selected vendor will provide ACLS certification and re-certification courses to healthcare professionals, which includes physicians, nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, medical residents and medical students. All materials and equipment for these courses will be supplied by the VACCHCS. Period of Performance is to begin October 1, 2010 through Sep 30, 2011 plus four (4) option years.
