- Description
- RFQ No. 10-059-W and 5 attachments Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL), a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) operated by Princeton University under contract to the U.S. Department of Energy, is announcing its intent to issue a sole-source acquisition to DECTRIS Ltd., Neuenhoferstrasse 107, 5400 Baden, Switzerland. The item being procured is as follows: 1 each PILATUS II 100 KPixel X-Ray Detector System, in accordance with PPPL Statement of Work (SOW DDEV-NSTX-044, March 10, 2009, Revision #-0) for PILATUS II Detectior Module for X-ray Imaging Crystal Spectrometers on NSTX. This unit will be installed in the National Spherical Torus Experiment (NSTX) at PPPL. It is intended that these units be nearly identical in operational characteristics and quality to x-ray detector systems previously purchased from DECTRIS. For further details, please refer to the SOW as set forth in RFP Attachment #1. This action is identified as PPPL RFQ No. 10-059-W. NAICS Code 334516 applies. The SBA size standard is 500 employees. Copies of the RFQ and its referenced documents may be downloaded from the PPPL Procurement web page at www.procurement.pppl.gov. Interested parties are requested to identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and submit quotations. Any quotations received by the designated response date will be considered by PPPL. A determination by PPPL not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of PPPL. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses are due no later than 5:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Saving Time, April 19, 2010, to Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, Attention: Ms. Arlene White, MS 12, James Forrestal Campus, U.S. Route 1 North at Sayre Drive, Princeton, New Jersey 08543.
