Description
The Bureau of Reclamation, Acquisition Operations Group, Denver, Colorado, intends to solicit on a sole-source basis to Hydroacoustic Technology Incorporated, Seattle, Washington 98105-6429. The requirement is for support to the Old River Barrier (San Joaquin County, CA) employees will participate on a team to install HTI acoustic telemetry gear, tune an HTI hydrophone array, post process data acquired with that HTI telemetry gear, and participate in the biological interpretation of that data. Reclamation owns an HTI acoustic telemetry system (system). That System will be installed April 18-25, 2010 in the San Joaquin River (CA). The System will be used to evaluate the Bi-Acoustic Fish Fence, a non-physical barrier designed to deter Chinook salmon smolts from entering the Old River. Therefore, contractor must meet the following requirements: 1.Provide on-site assistance to deploy an HTI Acoustic Telemetry System to meet all data acquisition needs;2.Provide 581 MDB files, one each for all tracked fish that appear at the Old River Barrier (San Joaquin County, CA);3.Participate in determination of fate from the fish 2D tracks. Hydroacoustic Technology, Inc of Seattle, Washington 98105 is the only known source meeting the above requirements. Competition is restricted to only one source per FAR 13.106-1(b). This procurement will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures at FAR Part 13 with an intended period of performance on or about April 23, 2010. Anticipated award date is April 23, 2010. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement by 12:00 pm MDT, April 22, 2010 which will be considered by the agency.
