- A sole source procurement is contemplated with Next Energy Center, 461 Burroughs, Detroit, Michigan 48202-3419. Next Energy is the only known qualified source to perform this effort. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) desires to continue development and sustainment of a support network for the Advanced Mobile MicroGrid Power System. This contract was awarded on 30 September 2005 to Next Energy. Next Energy is uniquely capable of meeting TARDECs need for this mobile grid. The estimated value of this additional effort is $980,000. The projected period of performance is twenty-four months. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency.
